Acknowledgment of Risk and Assumption of Responsibility
All parties taking part in any and all Foraging with Friends workshops and hikes acknowledge that participation in this and future Foraging with Friends activity involves certain inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to:
Exposure to environmental irritants such as poison ivy, ticks, insect bites, and other plants or wildlife.
Potential physical injury from uneven terrain, slips, falls, or other hazards.
Weather related risks such as dehydration, heat exhaustion, or hypothermia.
Participants and their guardians who voluntarily choose to participate in this hiking activity do so with full knowledge and acceptance of these risks. Participants understand that it their responsibility to exercise caution and common sense at all times during the activity.
Medical Disclaimer
Participants also acknowledge that they understand that participating in foraging or engaging in any new physical or wellness regimen (whether conventional or homeopathic) may involve physical exertion or exposure to substances that can interact with medications or affect individual health conditions. participants and their guardians affirm the following:
I have consulted, or will consult, with a qualified medical professional before participating in this activity or starting any new wellness regimen.
I acknowledge that certain natural or homeopathic substances may cause adverse reactions, particularly if I am taking prescription medications or have pre-existing health conditions.
I understand that pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding individuals should consult their physician before engaging in strenuous activities or using any supplemental compounds.
Waiver of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate in this activity, participants and their guardians hereby release, waive, and discharge Foraging with Friends and any affiliated parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from participation in these activities, including those caused by negligence.
